Jump on the Green gem platform at the start of the level to get 29 lives. It is on Island 3, at the end of the game. With the Green gem, go to the "Castle Machinery" level. You are allowed to die in the two bonus levels of The Lost City.

Head inside and smash the crates to get the first Neo Cortex Token. Get to the top of the third-floor ruin and beat the lizard.
